The College of Atmospheric Sciences Held an Online Special Meeting to Learn the Spirit of The Congratulatory Letter from General Secretary Xi Jinping and Implement the Spirit of the 27th National Student Federation

       To study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter, and implement the spirit of the 27th National Student Federation Congress, on the evening of August 17, the School of Atmospheric Sciences organized an online thematic conference. More than 50 people participated the conference, including Shi Wanfeng, secretary of the Youth League Committee, Li Peibei, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee, Zheng Shuang, full-time secretary of the Student Union, staff of the Student Union (Graduate Union) of the College, representatives of the Student League branch secretary and representatives of young students. The conference was presided over by Chen Xiao, deputy secretary of the Student League Committee.
       At the meeting, Shi Wanfeng conveyed and learned the congratulatory letter from General Secretary Xi Jinping to the 13th All-China Youth Federation and the 27th National Student Federation. Li Peibei conveyed and studied the main content of the meeting at the 27th National Student Federation of the 13th National Committee of the All-China Youth Federation, and led to learn the spirit of the 27th National Student Federation. Executive Chairman Zeng Huiyu and Chen Xiao of the Graduate Student Union, Zhu Yitong, the representative of the Youth League Branch, and Zhao Xucheng, the representative of the Student Union staff, gave speeches in turn, focusing on the spirit of learning from General Secretary Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter and the Party Central Committee’s speech.
       The 13th National Committee of the All-China Youth Federation and the 27th National Congress of the All-China Federation of Students were held in the year when the party led the people of all ethnic groups across the country to win a new victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and to start the second century of struggle. The congratulatory letter from General Secretary Xi Jinping is inspiring, which fulls of ardent expectations for the vast number of young people in the new era, and points out the direction for the reform of the Student Union of the new era. The Student Union must keep in mind the general secretary’s advice, unswervingly be a doer of reforms, win the trust of classmates with testable reform effects, and lead the majority of young students to follow the Party firmly.
       At the meeting, arrangements were made for the recent welcome to freshmen and students' return to college, the summer social practice was reported, and clear requirements were put forward on the security of social practice.
