Chen Yan was born in January 1982, senior experimenter, graduated from Lanzhou University in 2007 and has been teaching since. She mainly engaged in atmospheric sounding, aerosol and cloud research. She has participated in and presided over 10 various scientific research projects, including key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, general projects, and provincial and ministerial projects. She has presided over 2 experimental teaching projects. She has published more than 20 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, and obtained 2 utility model patents and 2 software copyrights.
The main courses she undertakes for undergraduates are 'Internship in Atmospheric Sounding', 'Integrated Internship in Atmospheric Science' and so on. The course 'Atmospheric Sounding' has successively won titles such as provincial and national quality courses, and national quality resource sharing courses and she is the major member of this course. She has successively won the title of 'Outstanding Instructor in Summer Social Practice Activities for Students of Colleges and Secondary Schools in Gansu Province', 'Outstanding Instructor in Summer Social Practice in Lanzhou University' and 'Outstanding Instructor in the First College Student Professional Exploration Competition of Lanzhou University'. She is currently a reviewer for journals such as 'China Environmental Science'.
