Associate Professor Zhang Feimin of Our College Receives Prestigious Award from the American Meteorological Society

Recently, the American Meteorological Society (AMS) officially announced the 2026 award recipients. Associate Professor Zhang Feimin of our college has won the Editor’s Award from the journal Weather and Forecasting.

According to the official citation of the American Meteorological Society, the award recognizes the recipient “For years of dedicated service providing timely, critical, and constructive reviews that have significantly improved the scientific quality of submissions.”

This award fully reflects Associate Professor Zhang Feimin’s academic responsibility and professional excellence in meteorological science, and demonstrates the growing academic contribution and influence of Chinese scholars in the international meteorological community.

It is reported that in the 2026 selection, 18 scholars worldwide received the Editor’s Award across all AMS journals, and Associate Professor Zhang Feimin is among them.
