Recently, the 6th China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, sponsored by the Gansu Provincial Education Department and hosted by Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, and the 12th “Challenge Cup” Gansu Province College Student Entrepreneurship Planning Competition, sponsored by the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Gansu Provincial Education Department, and the Gansu Science and Technology Association and hosted by Gansu Agricultural University, have come to an end. The “Zhifenglai” wind power transaction decision-making system project completed by Liu Peng, Gan Ruhui, Lu Yao and other students from the College of Atmospheric Sciences under the guidance of Prof. Yang Yi and instructor Zhang Feimin won gold and special prizes in two competitions. Yang Yi and Zhang Feimin won “Internet +” Excellent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Instructor of Higher Education Master Circuit in Gansu Province.

 

 

       The “Zhifenglai” wind power transaction decision-making system project is aimed at our country's new energy (wind power) market. Based on the self-developed high-precision numerical forecasting system, it improves the power forecasting level of new energy and meets the demand for efficient grid connection of wind power across the country. The system can adapt to the underlying surface dynamically, assimilate multi-source heterogeneous data and combine with AI machine learning to solve the problem of strong randomness and difficulty in forecasting the output power of new energy caused by the volatility, intermittentness and anti-peaking characteristics of new energy under complex underlying surface conditions. The project applies the frontier scientific research results of numerical forecast to wind power trading decision, effectively serves the new energy market in Northwest China, which has a broad market application prospect.

       In recent years, the College League Committee attaches great importance to the cultivate students' innovative and entrepreneurial ability, and actively mobilizes teachers and students of the whole College to participate in national competitions such as the National “Internet+” College students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition to create a good atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2020, the College League Committee organized 18 teams and more than 90 people to participate in the school innovation and entrepreneurship competition, which further stimulated students’ interest in innovative entrepreneurial activities, created a good atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship, and improved the quality of talent training.
