On the afternoon of September 2, the faculty and staff meeting of the School of Atmospheric Sciences was held in the 2009 lecture hall of Guanyun Building. All the faculty and staff of the College attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Weiguo, secretary of the party committee of the College.

       Dean Tian Wenshou led the study of the theme report "Steadily Deepening the Reform and Striving to Achieve High-quality Connotative Development in the New Stage of Development-Review and Planning of Comprehensive Reform of Lanzhou University" made by President Yan Chunhua at the school summer work conference, and combined it with the first round of "Double First Class" evaluation results and expert opinions and suggestions. They analyzed the problems and causes of the College, put forward the direction and goals of their efforts, and required the faculty and staff of the College to adopt a new round of "Double First Class" construction and the "14th Five-Year Plan" Implementation, which is an opportunity to deepen comprehensive reforms and promote better and faster development of the College.

       Deputy Deans Yang Yi, Huang Zhongwei, Ge Guming, Feng Xia, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Huang Yu, reported the relevant situation from the aspects of undergraduate and postgraduate education and teaching, scientific research and international cooperation, epidemic prevention and control and public housing reform, party style and clean government construction, and teacher ethics, student work, etc. They combined with the spirit of the school summer work conference, targeted analysis of the problems and measures in their respective fields, and arranged the deployment of the new semester work.

       Wang Weiguo conveyed the spirit of Secretary Ma Xiaojie’s concluding speech at the school’s summer work conference, and put forward requirements for further strengthening the study of political theory and the construction of teacher ethics and style. The spirit of the summer conference is truly embodied in the construction of first-class disciplines and the development of the College, which is a good start for the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the new round of "double first-class" construction.
