On July 7, the fourth third faculty congress of the College of Atmospheric Sciences of Lanzhou University was held in the 2009 conference room of Guanyun Building. All faculty of the College and the Western Ecological Security Collaborative Innovation Center attended the meeting, which was chaired by Tian Xulong, secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute.
Dean Tian Wenshou delivered the Work Report of the College in 2021 to the conference, comprehensively reviewed and summarized the major achievements and highlights of the college in teaching and research, talent training, foreign exchange and cooperation, social services, etc. in 2021, and made a comprehensive and detailed deployment of the work in 2022 in combination with the priorities of the school and the college. He stressed that all faculty members should closely focus on the goals and tasks of the college, focus on the theme of the college's career development, adhere to the fundamental task of 'establishing morality and cultivating people', and pool their wisdom and suggestions to enable the college to achieve new development at a new starting point.
Professor Zhang Lei, Deputy Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center jointly built by the Western Ecological Security Ministry, delivered the 2021 Work Report and 2022 Work Plan on behalf of the Center. The meeting heard and reviewed the 2021 Financial Work Report of the College by Feng Xia, Vice President, and the 2021 Work Report of the College Trade Union by Tong Jilong, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee.
The staff attending the meeting were grouped by departments to review the work report, financial work report and trade union work report of the college, and closely focused on how to run a first-class university in northwest China, how to promote the high-quality development of atmospheric science of Lanzhou University in the new era, how to implement the annual key work of the college and the coordination center, how to further promote the construction goals of education, teaching, scientific research and management services of the college personnel training, scientific research construction, resource allocation, performance distribution and other issues. They exchanged ideas and initiatives, and expressed opinions and suggestions. The leading group members of the college went to each group to listen to and collect the teachers' opinions and suggestions.
Tian Xulong said in his summary that the achievements of the college in the past year were made step by step by the whole faculty and students, which condensed the wisdomand sweat of the faculty and students. The college will face problems squarely, find gaps, analyze in depth, carefully summarize and sort out, and focus on gaps and deficiencies; We should strengthen confidence, forge ahead with determination, and move forward with dreams.
