On April 4th, Bureau-university Cooperation Meeting of China Meteorological Administration was held in Beijing and the National Meteorological Science and Education Integration Innovation Alliance was established. Yan Chunhua, academician of the CAS Member and president of Lanzhou University, was invited to attend the meeting and made an exchange speech. Huang Jianping, academician of the CAS Member, vice chairman of the National Alliance for Integrated Innovation in Meteorological Science and Education, Tian Wenshou, president of the College of Atmospheric Sciences, and Tian Xulong, secretary of the Party Committee, attended the meeting.
Before the meeting, Chen Zhenlin, secretary of the party group and director of China Meteorological Administration, met with Yan Chunhua and his party. Chen Zhenlin said that China Meteorological Administration and Lanzhou University have a profound foundation of cooperation. I hope that the two parties will implement General Secretary Jinping's important instructions on meteorological work and the spirit of important expositions about education, science and technology, and talent work. Both sides should expand cooperation, strengthen resource sharing, strengthen the application of the cooperation results of the bureaus, and build an integrated chain of production, research, research and use.Yan Chunhua said that the institutional and professional advantages of the meteorological department are an important guarantee to promote the extension of meteorological education, science and technology, and talent work to colleges and universities. Lanzhou University is willing to deepen cooperation and complement each other's advantages with China Meteorological Administration, improve the construction of meteorological related disciplines and personnel training, build a higher level and wider coverage cooperation platform, and jointly create an innovative pattern of meteorological science and education integration.
At the meeting, Yan Chunhua, on behalf of the university, reported on the progress of cooperation between Lanzhou University and the college, introduced relevant work experience, and had in-depth exchanges on the next steps of cooperation intentions. Yan Chunhua said that Lanzhou University has a long history of cooperation with China Meteorological Administration. Over the years, Lanzhou University has attached great importance to the cooperation between the bureau and the university. With the support of national, provincial and municipal meteorological departments at all levels, the atmospheric science discipline of Lanzhou University has developed rapidly in terms of discipline strength, scientific research platform, talent training base and teaching resource database construction.
At the meeting, Professor Zhang Jiankai from the College of Atmospheric Science at Lanzhou University received the Certificate of Excellent Meteorological Science and Technology Achievement Evaluation since the 13th Five Year Plan as a representative. Leaders and experts attending the meeting conducted in-depth exchanges around further deepening cooperation between the bureau and university in the new era, and striving to promote high-quality development of meteorology.
Beijing University of Technology, Nanjing University, Sun Yat sen University, Fudan University, University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ocean University of China, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Nanjing information engineering, Chengdu information engineering, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other institutions made exchange speeches. Relevant leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education, leaders of 31 universitys and universities and heads of relevant departments, main heads of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, and main heads of internal institutions and directly affiliated units of the China Meteorological Administration attended the meeting in the main venue. The meeting established sub venues at the meteorological bureaus of various provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government).
