At the meeting, Tang Qingru introduced the development history and basic situation of the university. He stated that Lanzhou University has a long history of atmospheric science and a solid foundation. The research group also visited the History Museum of China Civil Aviation Flight Academy, the 360 ° panoramic tower of air traffic control, and the simulator training center, and observed the tower flight training at Guanghan Branch Airport. Tian Wenshou was invited to give a lecture on 'Introduction to Atmospheric Science' to the 2023 freshmen of the school.
On the morning of the 24th, the research team held a symposium with the School of Atmospheric Science, Chengdu University of Information Technology. At the meeting, Zhang Yu, Dean of the School of Atmospheric Sciences at Chengdu University of Information Technology, introduced the situation of the school, stating that the College of Atmospheric Sciences at Lanzhou University has a good academic foundation and hopes that both sides can further strengthen cooperation. Tian Wenshou stated that the two sides have a good foundation of cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation, student employment, social services, and other areas. He hopes to leverage their respective strengths and make positive contributions to the high-quality cultivation of meteorological talents in the western region.
