On the afternoon of June 17, the College of Atmospheric Sciences of Lanzhou University held the 2021 student graduation ceremony in the C302 lecture hall of Tianshan Hall, Yuzhong campus. Alumni representatives, parents of some students, all members of the college leadership team, deans of various departments, head teachers of graduating classes, members of the academic work team and all the 2021 graduates attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Weiguo, secretary of the party committee of the college.
The ceremony kicked off in the solemn national anthem. The video 'Our Story' made by the students led everyone to recall the youthful years and growth of the fresh graduates in school and college. Dean Tian Wenshou, on behalf of the college, extended warm congratulations to the 189 graduates who completed their studies, and expressed sincere gratitude to the teachers and parents who worked hard and dedicated to their growth. He used 'patriotism', 'responsibility' and 'responsibility' as the theme words to give the last lesson to all graduates. He hopes that everyone will cultivate patriotic feelings and dedicate their knowledge and skills to the places where the motherland needs the most. The great journey of national rejuvenation realizes one's own life value; be brave to shoulder the responsibility of the times and the historical mission, 'not lying flat', do not complain, and never stop striving forever; have lofty ambitions, pursue dreams, and combine personal pursuits with national dreams to create the success of career, the splendor of life and the youth without regrets. Alumni of 1985, President of the Atmosphere Branch of the Beijing Alumni Association of Lanzhou University, and General Manager of Beijing Huaxin Zhongwei Technology Development Co., Ltd. Zhong Weibing, gave a speech with the title of 'Continuous Self-improvement, Virtue and Dedication'. Combined with personal growth experience, he sends a message to the graduates, that is we should be brave to be the 'back wave' and strive to become the best among our peers. On behalf of all the parents of the graduates, Yang Xiaoming, the parent of the 2021 graduate Yang Jingyi, thanked the teachers of the college for their hard work on the students, and encouraged the graduates to not forget their teachers, live up to their youth, and live out their own splendor. Ma Mingyue, a 2021 master graduate, and Sun Lin, an undergraduate graduate, spoke on behalf of the graduates, thanking the teachers of the college for their training, expressing that they will keep in mind the school motto of 'Continuously striving for self-improvement and being unique' and the college motto. Keep moving forward, and strive to achieve one's life goals, and add luster to the school and college.
Huang Zhongwei, the deputy dean of the college, introduced the overall situation of the 2021 graduates; Yang Yi, the deputy dean, announced the 'Decision of the College of Atmospheric Sciences to Commend the Excellent Graduates of 2021'. The guests and teachers presented honor certificates and appointment letters to outstanding graduates of Gansu Province, outstanding graduates of Lanzhou University, outstanding graduates of the College of Atmospheric Sciences, and class alumni liaison officers. They also weared alumni badges, and presented graduation commemorative gifts for them.The students recited 'I love my teacher, my teacher will never forget' as a gift for teachers, and brought a series of wonderful songs. The graduate representative student Chen Shuoyu led all the graduates to make a solemn graduation oath. The graduation ceremony ended successfully with the chorus of 'Lanzhou University School Song' by all teachers and students.
'Flowers bloom in midsummer, and set sail for a new journey.' All the graduates of the atmosphere will take the sincere care and eager anticipation of the college to go to all parts of the motherland, brave the wind and waves, move forward bravely, and create a bright future of their own.
