In order to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, further accurately grasp its connotation and spiritual essence, and deeply understand the new positioning, deployment, and requirements of education in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, on the afternoon of January 6th, the College of Atmospheric Sciences held a special study meeting for the Party Committee Central Group and also as a study meeting for political theory of faculty and staff. More than 100 members of the college’s center group, all party branch committees, and teacher party members participated in the tutoring report meeting. The report is chaired by Tian Xulong, Secretary of the College Party Committee.
       The college invited Professor Wang Xuejian from the School of Marxism at Lanzhou University to provide a special guidance report titled 'The Core Spirit and Key Points of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China' for teachers and students. Wang Xuejian systematically expounded the internal logic, main contents and innovative views of the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China from four aspects: 'the work of the past five years and the great changes of the new era in the past ten years; opening up a new realm for the sinicization and modernization of Marxism; the mission of the CPC in the new era and the new journey; and the strategic deployment for building a socialist modern country in an all-round way'. The focus was on explaining the theoretical innovation points of 'five firm grasp' and 'three musts'.

 

 

       The purpose of this study is to unify thoughts and actions with the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, guide all party members to deeply understand the major decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, and carry out the strategic planning and development work of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with the spirit of reform and innovation. Through scientific research on strategic planning, important strategic actions and policies for the reform and development of the college in the new era and new journey are determined.

       Tian Xulong suggested that teachers and students should take the chance and continue to learn he spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.Guided by the thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the new Era, we will gather the wisdom and strength to create brilliant achievements for the high-quality development of various undertakings of the college.
