The College of Atmospheric Sciences conducted a research and exchange visit to the Gansu Meteorological Bureau

To deepen the cultivation of meteorological talents, promote the sharing of resources between the bureau and the university, and enhance the employment work mechanism, on September 18th, Tian Xulong, the Party Secretary of the College of Atmospheric Sciences, Huang Yu, the Deputy Party Secretary, Zhang Jiankai, the Business Assistant, Zheng Shuang, the Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and others went to the Gansu Meteorological Bureau for research and exchange. The symposium was presided over by Xu Zhilong, director of the Personnel Department of the Gansu Meteorological Bureau.

 

 

During the symposium, both sides had an in-depth exchange on the quality of talent cultivation in the college, student internships and practical training, professional course Settings, talent cultivation models, and the promotion of graduate employment work.

Tian Xulong stated that the college has always adhered to the principle of taking social demands as the guide and student development as the center, constantly optimizing the discipline layout and curriculum system, and focusing on cultivating high-quality talents that meet the needs of industry and local development. As an important hub unit in the northwest region, the Gansu Meteorological Bureau is a significant force in the construction and development of the college. It is hoped that through this research, we can deeply listen to the opinions and suggestions of the provincial bureau on the construction and development of the college, further smooth the channels for talent supply, expand the breadth and depth of cooperation, and achieve a two-way pursuit and coordinated development of "cultivating people" and "employing people".

 

 

Xu Zhilong extended a warm welcome to Tian Xulong and his team, and highly affirmed the solid professional foundation and good professional qualities of the graduates from Lanzhou University. With the in-depth advancement of meteorological modernization, and in light of the current business development needs and job position Settings, specific suggestions have been put forward for the ability and quality of graduates. We look forward to more systematic and in-depth cooperation with the college in the future in areas such as talent co-cultivation, scientific research collaboration, internships and practical training, and jointly creating a new model of cooperation between the bureau and the school.
