In order to implement the school's new media management implementation method and build a harmonious and secure network environment, the School of Atmospheric Sciences held a new media management and responsibility explanation meeting in Room B402 of Tianshan Hall on June 28, 2018. Si Wenxuan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college, presided over the meeting. Sha Xinyu, the counselor of 2017 and the responsible persons of new media operations of 2015, 2016 and 2017 attended the meeting.

The meeting began at 21:40 p.m. after signing was completed. First of all, deputy secretary Si announced the punishment decision of the school about the improper speech of the graduate students, and warned the students to think twice before speak since their improper words may impose bad influence on the school and society. Students should assume responsibility for their own words and deeds. After that, Si made three requests to the students on this matter: First, heads of group or the relevant public account should promptly restrain some persons when they make inappropriate comments. Second, heads of the class group and the college group should play a good supervision role and report problems to the counselors immediately if they find inappropriate speeches. Third, as a member of the School of Atmospheric Sciences, students should do what they should do, bear the responsibility of their own, and speak and act cautiously. Finally, Si Wenxuan hoped all students can get good grades at final exam.

The convening of the conference not only sounded the alarm to the students, but also made the leader of group or relevant person in charge bear their responsibilities in mind. It also helped enhance the students' awareness of network security, comprehensively improve the network literacy, and create a good atmosphere of everyone's responsibility and participation in network security. We hope that the students can bear in mind the Si’s warnings, knowing what to do, and be cautious and take responsibility for creating a safe and harmonious network environment.
