From June 6th to 7th, the 'double hundred' exchange forum was held in the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.With the theme of 'giving play to the exemplary role of graduate Party building, leading the training of high-level talents in western China', the forum focuses on the role of the graduate party branch, the vanguard model of party members and the leading role of demonstration.Twenty four selected representatives from 21 western universities, including Lanzhou University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Sichuan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and Southwest University of Science and Technology, participated in the third batch of '100 Model Party Branches for Graduate Students' and '100 Model Party Members for Graduate Students' at the forum.
At the forum, Liu Xiaoyue, a 2020 doctoral student from the College of Atmospheric Sciences at Lanzhou University, who was selected as one of the third batch of '100 Graduate Party Member Models' among universities in China, delivered a keynote speech titled 'The Needs of the Motherland are the Direction of Our Progress' as a representative of the 100 Graduate Party Member Models in Western universities. Liu Xiaoyue emphasized the 'patriotism' of the older generation of Lan people who root themselves in the western region, persevere in struggle, and devote themselves to scientific research and serve the country. He stressed the need to deeply integrate his life ideals, research directions, and national strategies, and contribute his youthful strength to the modernization of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
During the forum, Liu Xiaoyue also went to Yongfeng Village and Sansu Temple Family Style Hall in Meishan City with the attending representatives for practical research, following in the footsteps of General Secretary Xi Jinping and attending a rural ideological and political class together.

In April of this year, the Ministry of Education released the list of the third batch of '100 Model Party Branches for Graduate Students' and '100 Model Party Members for Graduate Students' in national universities. Through organizational recommendation, communication review, centralized review, and result public announcement, 100 exemplary party branches for graduate students and 100 exemplary party members for graduate students have been selected and produced. Our doctoral student Liu Xiaoyue from the College of Atmospheric Sciences has been selected for the third batch of '100 Model Graduate Party Branches' in national universities.
Liu Xiaoyue, male, a member of the Communist Party of China, is a 2020 doctoral student at the College of Atmospheric Sciences, Lanzhou University. During his studies at our university, Liu Xiaoyue works hard, devotes himself to scientific research, and develops comprehensively. He has been awarded honors such as the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students, the Star of Self Strengthening for Chinese University Students, the Special Scholarship for Outstanding Students at Baosteel, and the Outstanding Communist Party Member at Lanzhou University. In response to major national needs, he has published multiple high-level scientific papers and participated in multiple major research projects during his doctoral studies. He once went against the trend during the epidemic and served as a grassroots community volunteer.
